I'one thousand pro socks and sandals all the mode - just only when the occasion calls for it. The humble sock (often, weirdly, a source of shame) plus a human foot-baring sandal is a delicate styling combo meal to get correct - but permit me explain.

My ultimate sock + sandal combo is probably mesomorphic Dr. Martens leather sandals and a sparse, colourful, mayhap fifty-fifty sparkly, fashion sock. Either that or sparse grey ones. I similar to pair tough sandals with something sugary sweet, like my pink gingham puff-sleeve Sleeper dress. It balances out the outfit so I don't expect similar actual Goldilocks on my way to a fairy picnic. (No shade confronting the fairy-core oversupply, just non necessarily the await I'thou after every day). Heavy leather sandals can sometimes rub afterwards a while in the heat though, so the thin socks foreclose blisters. Plus, I just think information technology looks cool. Choose socks that fit properly to your foot without excess wodges of fabric bunching up in the sandal. Line the seam up neatly beyond your toes, and you're good to go.
But what most delicate, sparse, strappy, or lace-up sandals? I like to wearable those with bare anxiety and a fresh pedi every time. My general rule is this: if it'south a Birkenstock, has a heavy lug sole, or generally just looks *chonky*, a thin sock underneath is totally fine. Yous can do this, I believe in you.

I'll be honest with you, I've never actually paired a sock with a sandal out in the real world, so the following argument could exist considered null and void, and that would be completely off-white enough. Only I've never had the intention or want to either, and that has to count for something, right?
Don't get me wrong, I know information technology's no longer 'white socks and dad sandals' and people definitely expect great in the tendency, but does it really make sense? The sun is out, and your feet are warm, warm enough to grab the sandals out of the dorsum of the wardrobe (hallelujah)... let them be free. We live in the UK subsequently all, and the window where we get to accept legs, arms and feet out is a short and precious one. Let's not mess that upwards with socks, guys.
Oh, and the seams. What do you lot exercise nigh the sock seam at the end of the toes?
